he's never topped 70 points....he's wildly overrated...AND his stats are inflated due to playing with Kane on his line

here's a list of Centers I would take over Toews: (in no particular order)
1. Crosby 2. Malkin 3. Backstrom 4. VLec 5. Staal 6. Stamkos 7. Thornton 8. Datsyuk 9. Zetterberg 10. Kopitar

Through my teal colored glasses, I voted Toews.
Thornton is a better player, but I'd take Toews. Both are wildly overrated. Toews' two-way game is great, but it's not that that makes me take him. It's the playoff success. Thornton just can't elevate his game, and has one of the all time highest statistical drops in Regular Season Points-Per-Game to Playoff Points-Per-Game. I want him out of SJ, honestly, but I know that will never happen.

I dunno but I find it really hard to not factor in age. Is Zetterberg really a C I know hes played there but I dont see him as a C.

Guys were talking about a guy who has:
Won a Stanley Cup, Was the second youngest captain to win the Stanley Cup, He is the leader of the Blackhawks, He was picked to Team Canada and won a Gold Medal with Canada. He was also named the best forward of the Oylmpics. Oh plus he won the Conn Smythe. Look guys, its much more than just points, this guy has all the tools that an NHL player has. And yes im talking about Jonathan Toews.

oh, and he's never topped 70 points while playing on a line with the best RW in hockey.
and his two-way game is not enough to overcome that. He is also a product of the teams he has played on
