Vote for the player you would pick to build your team. And who will be the better player in the future.

Matt Duchene. I used to watch him play juniors on Brampton Battalions. He is amazing. He reminds me of a joe sacik ond Steve yzerman. I think he will be a franchise player for the avs

I'd say myself, Matt Duchene now and Tavares in the future. Duchene is sure the most complete player (plays on the PP and PK), he's faster and has very good hands. Tavares is not as fast as Duchene, but i think that he's the guy who will put up more points in the future between these two. I can't really decide between the 2.. they are just both amazing. Tavares will be a very producing player while Duchene will be a tremendous 2-way player. Duchene is on a better team tho.

Good teams are built around good 2 way players like toews and richards. duchene would be the player i would want in the playoffs because he can play on good on both sides of the puck while tavares is kind of only offensive.

I wouldn't want to build my team around Duchene. I definitely wasn't impressed with him in the playoffs. Complete non-factor.

He's still young man. Give him some time. Watch for these 2 guys next year.
I think that both players are going to get 75-80 pts next season. Tavares is better offensively so i think he's going to get more pts than Duchene though.

Tavares is slower but has a better scoring touch...Tavares needs more help in New York like Duchene has in Colorado IMO

That's true. I pointed that Duchene was playing with better players and no doubt about it, Tavares is better offensively.

Going by how they do in the playoffs is a bad judge of them cause Tavares didnt even help get them there...are you gonna say he was not a factor the whole year???

Yeah i know, a big factor of why Colorado even made the playoffs was because of the strong play exhibited by Duchene. Also, Duchene is so much stronger on the puck, hes better defensively and may turn out better offensively aswell. Duchene is also very responsible with the puck and can move it up the ice faster than Tavares can. I played in the same AAA organization as Matt Duchene and even when he was in Minor Midgit, hes looked like the next Joe Sakic
