This may be a completely stupid comparison to you guys, but they're both great up and coming d-men.
NHL: Karlsson had 60 games and 22 points in 2009-10, Drafted 15th, 2008.
Carlson had 20 games and 6 points in 2009-10, Drafted 27th, 2008.
AHL: Karlsson had 12 games, and 11 points in 2009-10.
Carlson had 48 games, and 39 points in 2009-10.
Personally, Karlsson has my vote, he really seemed to get so much better, so much quicker at the end of the season, and the addition of Gonchar should boost his development.
