Following today's trade with Carolina the Ottawa Senator's GM, Joker5123, has finally agreed to his first press conference since being appointed the new General Manager of the Ottawa Senators.
Reporter: We all just wanted to thank you, Mr. Joker, we all know you're very busy trying to re-work the Senators.
Joker5123: It was no problem at all, and i just wanted to inform everyone that right before we started this conference, I was informed that Rod Brind'Armour has arrived in the building and will be taking questions very shortly.
Reporter: We've heard a lot of rumors about offers already being made on Brind'Armour, are any of them true, and if so, is it something you would consider?
Joker5123: Well I have received major interest already, but, nothing has really caught my eye yet, and I really don't want to have to tell Rod that he's been traded after he just flew in.
Reporter: Early after you had made the trade, it was announced that you would need to clear up some cap space, how do you plan on doing that?
Joker5123: Yes, we are currently over the salary cup, but I plan on fixing that before tonight.
*Silence*
Joker5123: Ok, if there are no further questions, without further ado, here is Rod Brind'Armour.
Brind'Armour: Hi everyone, well this has been an interesting day for me...first I was told I wasn't going to get traded...then I got traded...then I got traded again because of a screw up...well at least I'm sure of what uniform I'm going to be putting on at the end of this conference.
Reporter: Well Mr.Brind'Armour, now that we know for sure that you're staying in Ottawa, how do you feel about being here, and how do you feel about Ottawa's current position in the standings and playoff's?
Brind'Armour: Hahahaha, well I felt something instantly, as I got into the arena, it was a change of scenery, I got lost two times trying to find the conference room. Yeah, it's a definite relief, Carolina was out of the playoff's and I feel that Ottawa has such a better chance to win the cup this year, and with me aging and my retirement coming up soon, I want one more ring, and I've always liked Ottawa, and this just seems to work so well for me.
Reporter: When you said you're aging and retirements coming up soon, when are you planning on retirment?
Brind'Armour: Oh well, that's truly a big question, I obviously don't want to leave Ottawa with a huge burden and have to suffer from my cap hit until my contract ends. But to be honest, I'm not sure yet.
Joker5123: Are there any more questions? Ok then, we'll move on to the picture phase now.
