No, because in reality, UFAs get overpaid, and players will wait to test the open market to see if they can get overpaid. some get under paid too What's your point? What does that have to do with the discussion?

I think there should be a couple more agents maybe. But allow the agents to have them sign for whatever (not above market value). I also think all free agents should sign with Detroit for $10,000,000I hate that. THis happened in my other league!!! As for circumvention what is it...when a salary drops over half price from year to year??

Anyways I think somebody might choose to get slightly underpaid to go to a contender. If they are an older player without a cup

i will solve the mystery and finally say(becuase jpavs wont)
it is when you increase overall player salray so then the cap hit is lowered
sounds confusing but once you figure it out, you know what is going on

RedGibby, Cap Circumvention has nothing to do with the price dropping.
It has to do mainly with players signing contracts that end somewhere around 2 years after they will have retired. They will have a .5ish salary for that season, and therefore will have a lower cap hit. So, the player gets the $$$ they want, but the cap hit is lower. When they're 40 and aren't worth their cap hit, they retire. Therefore, they had less $$$ against their cap than the money they were paying the player, and then don't have to pay for it later when the player is overpaid. That is one style of cap circumvention.
